In Tally.ERP-9 : Create Company , Select , Alter , Delete the Company , Maintain the Cash Book , Bank Book with Payment , Receipt & Contra Vouchers Etc.
Company Info. Menu
The menu options in the Company Info. are as follows
Select Company
Allows you to Select or load a company.
Shut Company
Allows you to shut a company.
Create Company
Allows you to create a Company.
Alter
Allows you to alter a company.
Delete the Company
Allows to Delete the Company .
Voucher Entry :
1. Payment Voucher is used to record all bank and cash payments, For example: company settles a creditor's bill by cheque.
To view the Payment Voucher entry screen:
Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounting Vouchers
Select F5: Payment from the Button Bar or press F5.
Payment voucher can be passed using Single Entry or Double Entry mode by configuring the setting Use Single Entry mode for Pymt/Rcpt/Contra in F12 configuration.
2. Creating a Receipt Entry
Any money received from debtors against sales Invoices or on Account and for all transactions where money is received are accounted or entered into Tally.ERP 9 using the Receipt Voucher.
To view the Receipt Voucher screen:
Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounting Vouchers
Select F6: Receipt from the button bar or press F6.
For example, if your company receives money from a customer for an earlier transaction say sales, and the same is passed through a Receipt Voucher:
Credit the customer account and debit the Cash account, if you receive cash or
Debit the Bank account where you need to deposit the money, if you receive Cheques.
Display Cash Book
Account Books record individual transaction details that have been entered. Though the items are posted to different ledgers, Tally.ERP 9 brings together
all the transactions of one category into books of account for viewing and printing. For example, the cash book records all transactions that affect cash.
Cash/Bank Summary
To display the cash/bank summary
Go to Gateway of Tally > Display > Account Books > Cash/Bank Book(s)
Display Bank Book
To view the Bank Book Summary
Go to Gateway of Tally > Display > Account Books > Cash/Bank Book(s)
